Third Time is a Charm
Albany’s much-heralded Blackcat Elliot have been out in the clubs supporting their third album “There Is No Good In Us”. With veteran engineer John Chiara at the helm, the boys were ready to record the next album. The goal: less extra tracking, more of a live sound approach and go-for the throat songs with less studio enhancement. “A matured Blackcat Elliot came into my studio that day. You could tell instantly. The songs, the music, the development of the songwriting and the lyrics. The attitude matured quite a bit since the last two recordings I’ve heard.” said Chiara. With songs like “Sucker In The Front Seat”, “Come Take Me Away”, “Let Yourself Go!” and “Turn It”, you can tell that Albany, NY’s Favorite Garage Rockers (as they were labeled by the local press back in 2001), have evolved. Go ahead and hear for yourself. Better yet, see them live. Either way, get in and join the fast, energetic and fun Blackcat Elliot garage rock ride.
